Temple Sinai of Glendale is looking for a part-time librarian.

The position requires 4 hours per week -- Either: 
3 hours on Sunday mornings when there is religious school and 1 hour on all Friday evenings 9:00-10:00p.m.
    OR
4 hours on Sunday mornings when there is religious school.

Salary: $10-15/hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Duties: The main tasks are the supervision and upkeep of the library.Other tasks, depending on interest and ability: library instruction in grades K-7; writing articles about the books in the library for the library newsletter and other marketing of the library; collection development; cataloging new books.

The Chair of the Library Committee supervises the Librarian. The other library volunteer include a programmer at JPL, who has been doing all the upkeep of the online catalog and other computer maintenance.

Temple Sinai has 300 families. The library has about 1,500 monograph titles. Periodicals come in as they are donated.  The OPAC is from CASPR.
