Jewish Life in America -- 1654 - 2004


 
September 2004 through July 2005 marked the 350th Anniversary of Jewish Life in America.  The U. S. Congress proclaimed September 2004 as the start of American Jewish History Month.  For the year of celebration, many new books and bibliographies were published and many websites were created.  

"Celebrate 350" was the umbrella group that guided the 350th anniversary information and year-long programs and tracked the schedules throughout the country on its website.  The current website "350 Years of American Jewish History" <
http://www.350th.org/ > commemorates that event, and includes resources:  Time lines, exhibits, historiography, and lesson plans.
